The magnificent views over the Torii Shrine and bay were great. the hotel's location was close to the main shopping strip and the center of town, making it convenient for accessing all the shops. Additionally, a friendly aquarium and other tourist destinations were just a minute's walk away from this place.

The room was relaxing and clean with a very comfortable futon bed, we stayed in all day. The location was great on the foreshore of Miyajima, you may take train on Miyajimaguchi train station within 20 minutes walk from here.

Very fancy atmosphere. Staff is very catering, although they speak very little English. Awesome view from the 5th floor baths.
Futons weren't very comfortable. It was much more uncomfortable than the average ryokan.

This is a wonderful ryokan! The rooms are fantastic, the food is incredible, the staff are lovely, and the open-air bath at night is a must try.
There is no signage in English out the front - no problem for me because I read Japanese, but could be problematic for some other guests.

The hotel's decoration was exquisite, with beautiful traditional Japanese elements that created a calming atmosphere. The general areas were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy for senior people to navigate. The hotel's accessibility was excellent, with a convenient location near the shopping street and only a short walk from the ferry port.
It would have been even better if there were more staff members to assist senior guests during their stay. Sometimes it felt like the children working there were overwhelmed with the number of guests, and it would have been nice to have more dedicated assistance for the older guests.

Was a gorgeous hotel and a fantastic location (right near ferry terminal). You can eat breakfast looking out at the water. The rooms were lovely. We had the cheapest room available (though certainly not cheap!) which was clean, nicely appointed and spacious. We were served real green tea and a sweet in our room when we arrived. Even though it was very expensive, I would stay here again if I go back to the island. Expect to pay a bit if you want to stay on Miyajima, but it's worth it! Especially for a romantic break.
My only suggestion is that it would have been nice if they had bookable private baths instead of just public ones. Also I wasn't really aware that you needed to book a whole day in advance if you wanted to dine in the hotel restaurant, and it wasn't really clear that there would only be 3 choices to eat on the island if you weren't eating at the hotel.

Wonderful attention to detail - flower arrangements changed each day, even the map of each floor had the signature dragon fly logos drawn on them. I had the 12 course dinner each night and it was well worth it- the best food I had in Japan, magnificently presented. Onsen on the roof was wonderful.
signage not clear in front of hotel so easy to walk past. Plants need to be cut in front of male onsen, since detracts from the beautiful views.
